    What happened here???

I don't think I will have the nerve to repeat that recipe anyway, so I would never have noticed! ;-)

    What happened here???

Those are great tips. I never would have thought of letting it gel in the pot. Thank you!

    What happened here???

Thank you! Sorry for the dumb question, but how do you figure out 33% lye when using the lye calculator and it gives you 31? Do you have to add more water too? And to clarify, you mean 33% of the oils, not the total batch, right? The mold is from Milky Way. It's my favourite! I did grate the...

    What happened here???

I used white beeswax pellets. The spots were kind of gelatinous in texture. I don't really know what the temps were, because my thermometer wasn't working properly. But it was hot - came to gel phase really quickly even though I was trying for no gel and didn't insulate.

    What happened here???

I'm a bit embarrassed to fess up to my recipe, as I clearly need more experience before I start winging it. However, since it may help to diagnose the problem, here it is - I don't recommend it! "Climb On" hard salve recipe?

Thank you for remembering! I see you have cut down the percentage of essential oils, which is what I thought after looking at the EO calculator you recommended. I did find it a little confusing though, but I guess I will get used to it with practice. So now my question is, can I salvage my...

    "Climb On" hard salve recipe?

Hi and many thanks for this recipe - I just found it. I made the salve and it smells and feels great. Since I am a total newbie when it comes to using essential oils, I am now curious about the high proportion used in this recipe. Is it safe to use more than one essential oil at the recommended...
