    Liquid soap is oily!

Thanks DeeAnna. It does look like oil. I don't mind the cloudiness so much as it'll be kitchen soap. I may just ignore the oil and use this as is.... I just wanted to see what the issue was that I can try to avoid in the future....

    Liquid soap is oily!

Hi all! Still quite a newbie with LS making. Yesterday I made 100% CO LS paste, let it sequester for a day. Today I went to dilute (no...didnt check for cloudiness), and not there's oil in the pot and the water is very cloudy. What can I do with it now?

What soapy thing have you done today?

i made soap last night, and left it on top of my dehydrator when i was on to get it to gel. went to sleep and forgot about it. woke up today to some brain looking thing on top, and the bottom seeping a bit - it's overheated. i'm gonna leave it in the mold for a few days before i cut into it...

    Breast milk Soap

depending on who you're making the soap for (adult vs baby), the recipe would be different. but process would be same as if you were to make GM soap.

Why do you think soap is so special to you?...

I had a milk goat, and I couldn't bear to throw away any milk (stuff not for human consumption). I started making soap to prevent that, and now I use soap as a way of making a keepsake out of something that's perishable. I no longer have my beloved goat, but the memory of the good times we had...

    Black walnut soap

vetivert is an amazing basenote. don't overdo b/c it does take over. it's a very grounding scent, and IMO wherever you use patch as a base note, you can use vetivert instead.

When to add EOs and/or SF to LS?

i didn't use PS80 (not even sure what it is) in my liquid soap when i first made it like 2 months ago, and i've seen no separation of scent. but i did regular dilution for dish soap use, and not for foamer
