    Print your own labels?

I gotta say, I have many hobbies--one of which is making wine. My ultimate goal in life is to have a winery, but I just wasn't born with that kind of money. The fact that I may never realize my dream doesn't mean I try any less to perfect my skills--which includes label design. You can bet I...

    Brown Kraft Labels

I've actually given up trying to use pre-cut labels. I buy full sheets and cut them myself (it's easy with a rotary cutter and a quilting ruler). The problem I was having was that the toner wasn't sticking to the labels (they were for laser printers). They would work great for a while but...

    Brown Kraft Labels

Thanks everyone. I requested a couple of sheets last night and can't wait to play with them. I was in Staples Saturday and saw that Avery makes Kraft paper labels, but the sizes were limited and not what I wanted. I've always created my labels with a craft paper clipart and it uses a lot of...

    Print your own labels?

For my bars I print on card stock with an inkjet printer (the paper's too thick for a laser printer) and cut it with my Silhouette to make boxes. I also give people the option to buy with or without the box (without is a lower price) and they almost always choose the box and higher...

    Brown Kraft Labels

I've used the glossy waterproof in the past but I had a few issues with them. I'm thinking it was the printer more than anything so I've just ordered a new one!

    Brown Kraft Labels

Just curious if anyone has tried the Brown Kraft Labels from OnlineLabels.com and if so, what are your impressions? I'd be using them in a laser printer and was wondering how they hold up with handling. Thanks!

    Olive and coconut oil soap

My favorite soap is 75 olive 25 coconut (sometimes I add a little beeswax too) with a 3% SF (I rarely do a higher SF). Although I've been using a 100% olive and I'm really liking it. . . .

    Beeswax?

I thought the extra creaminess was just me. I really like beeswax and haven't had any trouble with it other than the soap coming to trace quicker. I use 2-3 % and buy from ebeehoney.com

    Some noobie questions about scents

LOL! Most of the masculine FO I've tried smell like the 20-somethings I work with that wear too much Axe body spray. And I do have one stashed away from The Scent Works that smells like grandma: Dutch Clover. It gives me an instant headache. I bought it because I like the smell of clover...

Why do you prefer HP or CP?

I CPOP at low temps--just enough heat to keep things warm and coax the soap to gell--and my eo/fo goes right into the oils before the lye solution. With CPOP I can use a higher water discount and have a soap that's safe to "play with" the next day. I was never able to get an HP soap to look...

Looking for a straight cucumber FO

SOS has a cucumber in their apothecary line. www.saveonscents.com/product_info.php/products_id/3630 I haven't tried it yet but the (few) reviews seem promising. I do love the orange in that line. . . .

    Help! My soaps stuck

Did you build the mold yourself? If the pieces weren't cut right you might have a situation where the bottom of the mold is slightly bigger than the top. One of my first molds was wood and put together by a friend. It wasn't perfectly square and the soap would not come out. I never used it...

    Scott's Marketplace?

I've never heard of them either. And keep in mind that Etsy has another fee if you use their checkout (which varies by country, https://www.etsy.com/help/article/2028). For example, if a customer purchases a $10 item (plus $2 for shipping and $0.96 sales tax), I pay Etsy: $0.20 listing fee...

    Aftershave alcohol

I look forward to hearing their reply. I'm waiting to hear back from NYS (I work backwards. After all, who cares what the Feds have to say if the state poo-poos it!). But until them, how about a little light reading: Alcohol in the US is regulated for a number of reason but the most...
