    I had my first fair yesterday, selling soapies and stuff! I've been making things for over two years now, but I was still terrified. Thankfully, it was a good day. I feel like I've learned a lot. Magnolia in Bloom was my bestseller, I only have one left, yay! People seem to adore Oatmeal...

    Time to trace

    There are lots of natural things you can use for coloring. One of my favorites is cacao powder. About the gelling, I actually don't let my soap gel at all. I put it in the fridge overnight. It works fine, but like busymakinsoap! said, it takes a little bit longer. :)

    What do you mix your soap in?

    I make my lye mixture in a stainless steel measuring cup. Then I melt my oils in a large pot and then I just mix my lye and oils in that same pot. It's pretty big, so big batches fit just fine. I've never tried anything else to be honest...

    My lye didnt burn?

    I've been making soap for over two years and I have raw soap on my hands quite often (when I'm cleaning up). I hardly ever feel it though. I've always found that odd.. Still, when making soap, I always wear gloves, just to be sure :)
