I love squalane oil for acne prone skin. It sinks in really quickly and provides good moisture with out being heavy and oily. I use it in my face serums, moisturizers and even at 100% just as a face oil. It can be pricy but worth it in my opinion. Hope this helps.
Anyone want to talk formulation of in shower lotion bars using an emulsifier? I want to make some and not sure what %s I should start out with. I really like the lush in shower lotion bars and want to make the same for myself. I was thinking for hardness I'd use coco butter or kokum butter, a...

Anyone make extracts with glycerin and water? I have a calendula one I am experimenting with now. Part water part glycerin and 6 months on the back shelf of my pantry. (I added a wee bit of preservative because I am afraid of it going bad). Just wondering if anyone else has had experience with this.
Have any of you used magnesium flakes in lotion making? My son (who plays college football) uses a spray of magnesium oil after every work out for muscle cramps etc. I soak in epsom salt baths all the time and was wondering if I could use magnesium in lotion for the same effect. My google search...
I forgot to mix my TD with water and dumped unsifted, dry TD directly into my hot process batch. I was making a fancy red and white swirly so I was moving fast, too fast :(. Now I have little specks of powdery white dots in my pretty bright red and white swirly soap. Side note....they smell amazing!
