Curing the Soap to Retain Scent

I want soap that holds its fragrance. I hate that it evaporates! Is there a good way to cure it so that the water evaporates and the EO or FO does not? Maybe by regulating the temperature/air flow or both? Please advise.

    Ready to jump in!

20% Coconut, 30% Palm, 35% Olive Oil, 10% Cocoa Butter, 5 % Castor oil, works good for me :-).

    Mold Opinion Please

I have some of the second ones from Do Right Molds. I cut out the soap with a cutter and it works pretty well. The seller was a real hassle though, sent me a rusty cutter, wrong shipping address, really an endless nightmare.

    Weak Frangrace in Soap

I am feeling a little bit bullied right now . Was more looking for some helpful input then to be put down. It's not like I open a store, just sell some soap through mother in laws bath bomb group. I like to make soap and I'm getting good at it.

    Weak Frangrace in Soap

That sounds like a really long time . Was kinda hoping that some people I could talk to might have already been through that and could give me some pointers to speed things up.

    Weak Frangrace in Soap

To answer all questions, yes I just started making soap and am working on selling it. It is a nice fun hobby, but will not be sustainable if I cannot sell a bit to recoup for all of the expensive ingredients. I used 15tps of Chocolate Fondue oil from New Directions in a 10 lbs batch and in a...

    Weak Frangrace in Soap

I've become a little bit jealous of some competitors whose soap seems to just lock in the fragrance so nicely. I've notice that they are mostly using spice or flower type scents, while I'm using things like chocolate and citrus. However, it doesn't seem to matter whether I use 3 Tps or 15, the...

    sugar in soap

I put a 10lbs batch together a couple days ago which I plan to remove from the mold tonight after work. I wanted to make a sort of brown/white sugar swirl. I split the batch from the get go and added a couple tablespoons to each half (two TBLSpoons of a rich brown sugar in half and two...

    Beginner's Question

What are the advantages of the different oils used in CP soap making? For example what is the difference between using a higher volume of Coconut Oil as opposed to using more Palm Oil, or going completely one way or the other? I have also been using Vegetable Shortening, does this have...

    Clean Rinse?

Thanks everybody, that makes sense. I am so happy to have so many helpful responses :-). My recipe is 20oz Coconut, 10 oz Palm, 28 oz Crisco Vegetable Shortening, 14 oz Lye, 41 oz Water, 42 oz canola oil. But yes, I am very new to using CP soap and it totally makes sense that it would feel...

    Clean Rinse?

I have made a few batches of CP soap. They seem to be going well but when I use them they seem to leave a little but of film on the skin. Is this normal? Or is there a way to have them rinse away clean?
