What are your home treatments just for you?

I love Salt Bars and the "Oil Cleansing Method" for my face a Clay Mask once per 1 or 2 weeks. I am addicted to solid scrub bars either Sugar Scrubs with soap or Lotion Solid Scrub bars for the shower. (& MUST have a good absorbtion but barrier making lotion for after shower) I really...

    Liquid or powder sodium lactate?

What will you be using the SL for? What are you hoping to achieve with the SL? That will help determine if you want the powder or liquid. I myself use the liquid in most applications, but that is just my preference.

    Natures Garden Vanilla Stablilizer

NG says that the .3% is of the total batch weight including water and lye. That being said - Deda's soap if it was the NG VS being used is gorgeous. Deda: A few people have noted that with NG's VS the FO's scenting fades or is not very strong by a noticable degree over several...

Stuff I don't notice: ---------------------- Silk - liquid form or Tussah most pureed veggies ( i like cucumber tho for looks) Honey - accelerates and darkens but i can't feel a difference Most exotic oils - add little (except Neem - that one is scary) Stuff I do notice...

    sugar scrubs

alot of people have much success in making solid sugar scrubs with no soap at all. You can make your primary ingredients a nice hard butter like kokum or Cocoa butter and have pretty good results. I think i'd add some E-Wax personally to sorta counter the oil-slick in the shower/tub...

    sugar scrub cubes - beeswax?

There are a few ways - You say you do not want Melt and Pour base but what about regular CP soap as a base? If you find it appealling you can totally shave some down and put it in with less oils/butters. If you want a butters & oils base with sugar - it would be alot like a Lotion bar...

Confetti soap is nice as well as sugar scrub cubes. You can rebatch the soap but since it's dry I personally wouldn't do it. Vanilla anything will discolor your soap into the browns. Honey will discolor as well. In Crock Pot Soap I have noticed better results when using a 28% lye...

How can I make pretty soap? :?

HP soap can be layered and swirled just fine if your methods turn the soap batter pourable when you are done with the cook. there are a few of us here on the forum who have shown pictures of smooth HP soap and you'd have to take a double look to know (or not even then) that they are HP...
