I have to agree with Dixiedragon. One other difference I've noticed when making re-batch or HP is that I have to add more water (full water) and it takes a bit longer to cure where I get a nice firm bar.
Both Besides esthetics I love both CP and HP.
Wow, I'm not judging anyone for what they want to spend to open a business but that is a very large chunk of money. IMHO there are better and cheaper options to start off slow and make sure the company grows VS starting a company with debt. It's sad that she fell ill and is unable to continue...
Like Raincityjen said, it might be a hot seller. ;-)
I remember a long time ago a local vendor selling meatloaf soap. LOL Yep, it looked like meatloaf. I never got to smell it but I saw a picture and it was definitely interesting. It would have made for a funny gift.
Your normal... compared to the guy I saw today riding a harley in a santa suit. Seriously, full white beard, santa hat and red santa outfit. Christmas inspired soap in late January isn't totally crazy. Not to mention it came out really beautiful. :)
It happens. When I first started making soap I forgot ingredients or essential oils. I have a routine of how I set up and I put away after using items so that I know everything has gone into the soap. I never miss anything these days but it happens to the best of us. Thank goodness for...
Another option if you want to produce large batches. They have a 25lb and 50lb large capacity mold.

BTW, could it be one of her ingredients. Would a bad ingredient do something like this. I think all her oils are pretty new but just by chance could this be a rancid oil.
She didn't say if the soap smelled or not.
*Update she said they smell like the E/O so not rancid I guess.
Xraygrl - I thought the same thing at first but she said the spots showed up later. I thought maybe her colors weren't completely emulsified but I don't think that now.
Kista & Seven - Thanks for the kind compliment. My mom makes some pretty cool looking and funky soaps. I'll send her a link...
You still have to cure CP should be cured as well. Both HP and CP should be cured for a nice bar.
Technically you can use your soap if it passes a zap test but the soap will be so much better after several weeks of cure.
