    No, it doesn't, but in my over 7 years of soap making, I have noticed that clay helps. Maybe it doesn't help you. But I feel it helps me. That's all I am saying.

    I add kaolin clay to my measured fragrance oil & measured essential oil. It’s about a teaspoon or a little more. I don’t measure the clay. I let the fragrance/Essential oils with the clay “marinate” at least an hour, sometimes more, then plop the whole thing into the batter. I do think it helps...
