Rehab the hair (or how to get away from lye based shampoo)?

I purchase the dried herbs you mentioned above and put a heaping teaspoon in about a third cup HOT water and allow to steep 5 minutes, then wash my hair leaving it on while I wash my body. It suds beautifully due to the soapnuts (ground to a powder). Good luck!

Has anyone used this 5 gallon pail warmer?

I have a bucket heater from Duda Diesal that is 6" wide and works well. I masterbatch my oils and that is what I use it for. To get solid coconut oil out of the 50 pound bucket I use a long handled steel spoon I found at a restaurant supply store. It works fine to scoop out 15 pounds at a...

I used Sunflower from Peak Fragrance. I have soaps over 2 years old that still carry the lovely scent. Unfortunately, I have had BB fragrances fade during cure and they do not come back so I do not use the any more. I use 2.5 ounces for 10 pounds of soap. Thanks for the compliment, I am...

Making a cleaning soap with oxilac acid

So oxilac acid is Barkeepers Friend, a great non scratchy powder. I was thinking of taking some of my shredded 100% coconut oil soap that I use for laundry soap and mixing it with a bit of water and oxilac acid and putting it in low profile jars for a tub cleaner, especially after using bath...

    Whoopsie Daisy Soap

It did not take that long, I spent an afternoon making flowers. Once they cure, it is just a matter of taking a couple minutes to stick them on. So much fun!

Essential Depot - Greener Life Club

I found their products to be sub par. Don't like the essential oils and I have found lye less expensive elsewhere. Also had issues with the lye causing soft soap, when I changed lye the problem went away. I make thousands of pounds of soap a year so it is not inexperience. Overall unless it...
