Hi. I never used vanilla stabilizer in my cold process soap. How much do you use and do you have to figure the water or oils with it? I have a recipe but don’t know if the stabilizer has to be in that calculation or no. Ty

Yea but if I color one part does it all come together with the right calculation.. in other words that part of the soap won’t mix with the other part of the soap so that to me would mess it up

and I see that they add oil to mix with colorant and titanium dioxide. Is this just xtra oil or does it all have to mix with the lye and be calculated?

I don’t understand the water discount. Can someone please explain this in simple terms?

i just got a porcelain farm sink an want to know if my cold process soap making with the lye damage the sink? Does anyone have experience with this?

I would find out how many other soap crafters will be there. take what you are comfortable taking and hand out cards for repeat customers.

I have made some batches of cp soap without the temps being a certain temperature. I did room temp and it worked fine.

;-)I have a recipe for shampoo bars. it calls for 1 1/2 oz. of tea tree oil. can I use 1 oz and not change the recipe? do you take into account the essential oil you put in for the lye calculation? thanks Julie

does it matter what oils you use? want to remeasure but it's all together so I want to double check.

I really messed up this time. I poured all these oils together and it wasn't the recipe I was doing, it was what came in a kit. So, I have all these oils mixed together and I don't know how much lye to use. this is what I mixed. 1 lb castor oil 2 lbs coconut oil 1 lb. palm oil 2 lbs rice...
