Most cherry fragrances I've ever bought or sniffed smell strongly of benzaldehyde. I suspect that it's the major ingredient in the lot of them. It's a pleasant enough scent, but there's no getting away from the "chemicalness" of it.

I recently used BB's Alien type and I would have described it as feminine. Interesting.

Cedar & Saffron is my favorite BB scent. Sticks very well, and both men and women seem to like it. It does discolor and accelerates a bit, but it's totally worth it.

BB Espresso is very good.

It sticks. It is still very strong.

Lavender and anise make a nice combination. They have similar notes and work very well together, with the bonus that your soap doesn't smell like a licorice stick.

The Indian Sandalwood FO from Nature's Garden smells nice, it's woody and fragrant. That said, I have no idea whether it smells like true sandalwood.

Thanks for the comments. The soap is out of the mold and curing now. It's still an overpowering sickly floral scent to my nose, but I can also see that some people could like it. In that way maybe it's like patchouli...either love it or hate it. BTW, this thread in no way is a criticism of...

I like this idea and tinkered around last night. I did a sniffy of 2:1 bergamot and NDA's Light Patchouli and ended up with something that smelled almost exactly like fresh parsley.

BB Vanilla Select becomes very dark brown. But ditto on the BB Rich Dark Chocolate. It looks like a Hershey bar.

I used it recently. It accelerated some, but I've experienced worse. Just whisk it in by hand right before you pour.

I mix BB's Vanilla Select with their Espresso FO and call it "Vanilla Macchiato"

Anne Watson's Shea Butter Supreme Recipe makes a really great bar. 35/35/30 Olive/Coconut/Shea Butter. Very creamy lather, feels luxurious.
