    Amla Oil in soapcalc

Great idea, thanks. I was looking at From Nature With Love’s saponification chart and was trying to puzzle it out. Palm Kernel! I should’ve plugged that in.

    Amla Oil in soapcalc

Hi, Does anyone have any idea how I could account for Amla Oil in Soapcalc? It doesn’t list it. I’m messing around with a shampoo bar idea based on The Nerdy Farm Wife’s shampoo bar to include Amla Oil, I’d feel far more confident experimenting if I could plug it in to soapcalc. Thanks, Jenifer

    Swimmer’s Soap

Thanks for the ideas and direction. Thanks @DeeAnna. I’ll track down the discussions on using lye-based soap on hair. I had been trying to come up with a multi-purpose swimmer’s soap and shampoo. (The commercial versions are loaded with petrochemicals.) As I think about the microbiome of...

    Swimmer’s Soap

Hello, I’ve read every post on this forum about soap for swimmers. I even read laboratory analysis of chlorine chelation. Vitamin C in its various forms is very effective which made me think I could add it to liquid soap. Then I read that Vitamin C loses its effectiveness within 24 hours...

    Personalized Soap

I found these marked-down at Michael’s. After sorting them I saw that they are missing the letter “G”. I followed the package instructions and put a little bit soap down first, then the stamp in some molds. I also tried one on top. Not bad, but I’d like to get them centered and I’d love to...

    Coronavirus

We are required to vaccinate our children in order to enroll them in school and sometimes in order to enroll them in Summer Camp. (It varies from state to state.) Those who work in healthcare can chime in, but it my understanding that they are required to get a flu vaccine. Some are suggesting...

    Coronavirus

    1. If vaccines were perfectly safe why would we need the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program? 2. Different vaccines, like different medication, have different side effects. But unlike picking up a prescription, I wasn’t advised of the side effects nor was I given a drug-fact sheet...

    Coronavirus

Not all pharmaceuticals (including vaccines) have positive reactions for all members of the population. The results can be deadly. More troubling however is that thanks to the "National Childhood Vaccine Injury Act" (NCVIA) of 1986, pharmaceutical companies have zero liability for damage...

    Personalized Soap

@earlene Thank you so much for this. You confirmed an idea I had about laying stamps in the bottom of a mold. I bought an ice-cube tray and a few $1 to see if it will work. Thank you for telling me about your experience doing it. Thank you also for telling me that the stamps without wooden...

Thanks for the suggestions. I’ll look into acrylic stamps.

    Personalized Soap

Hello, I’d like to personalize, with names or initials, soaps that I’m giving out at Christmas. I wondered if I could use stamps or those little brands they use for steak? Does anyone have any ideas or has anyone tried any techniques that have worked well for them? Thanks. Jenifer

    When to scent LS

Thanks Deeanna, I loved reading your experiment with different amounts of glycerin and adding EOs. I’m fascinated to read more of your experiments and trials.
