Can anyone tell me if they document each batch of product they make and designate some sort of code on their label? I feel like I need to do this so that I know the age of my lip balm in case I need to pull it after a certain time frame.

I recently made a batch of calendula infused in sweet almond oil for some lip balm I was making. I didn't need all of it and am wondering if it is still good. It has been stored in the cabinet (dark) for about 3-4 mths. Would it still be safe to use?
