    Blogging and Social Media

As a blogger (just not soap exclusive) I wouldn't worry about putting in "mid-process" soap pictures. Take great pictures of your finished soap and write about all the things that make your soap awesome. That's what I like to read about (and my followers do too!). The best advice I can give...

    TD vs vanilla stabilizer

Oops. One more thing (LOL!): I always pull out any soap I want a "pure" color in before I add the fragrance if I'm using a vanilla FO. The unscented soap will show off the color of the clay, or in my case oxide, and not get muddied by the browning of the vanilla. Your swirls will look so good...

    TD vs vanilla stabilizer

The TD will lighten them. I've never tried the vanilla color stabilizer because it's for MP soaps. I read that it doesn't work well in CP (works at first, but eventually the vanilla will discolor anyway). So I saved my money and just use TD. :)

    Shipping Costs

$10 shipping on a $3 bar?! Sounds like your friend (?) doesn't want online sales! LOL!! BTW, I was able to easily ship 5 bars in the small usps priority box, for what that's worth.

    Needing a good "wine" FO

I've only bought 2 so far, BB Berrywine and CS Chardonnay. The berrywine smells more like berry than wine to me, but I slap a label on it calling it wine soap (I did use old vine zin as half the water) and everyone I've given it to has gone crazy over it. I haven't soaped the chardonnay yet...

Sales pathetically low, what am I doing wrong?

Sihir, that link is amazing! Thank you so much! I know what my next craft project is!

    Melting beeswax

LOL! It takes forever, until you start making soap with steric acid. Then melting beeswax seems like an easy few minutes to relax by the stove. (The steric took me nearly an hour to melt!) The little beeswax pellets make the task a little faster, IMO. :)

    Beer and bacon soap

LOL! How funny! My one and only batch of beer soap I insisted HAD to be made with lard for the beer/bacon vibe (but with less fat straining!). No FO/EO at all, but it ended up smelling just like pretzels! It is weirdly awesome and everyone (especially the guys) love it. Good luck with your...
