When I make beer soap, I crack it open, let it set for awhile, stir it up a bit until the fizz is gone and then add my lye. I set the container in a ice bath to prevent overheating.

Candle Science has a Lemon Verbena that is soap safe and has gotten great reviews in soap at the soapscent review board. If you try that also try the honeysuckle Jasmine & Love Spell, there both a best seller for me.

I have honeysuckle & jasmine in soap that is over a year old and still strong. It's a big seller. Love Spell sells very well and sticks also.

I use Peak's Black Canyon in beer soap and don't add any color. It always discolors to a dark brown. The fragrance really sticks, it's a great manly scent. Even some women love it.

I use tallow in all my soap. Try this simple recipe. You can find the Coconut oil and the 100% Olive oil at Walmart. Don't need the Extra Virgin OO, but make sure it's 100% Olive oil. Tallow 40% Coconut 25% Olive Oil 35% SF at 6% Put in SoapCalc.net for water and lye amounts.

I don't know how much FO canning wax will hold without additives. Probably not too much. Beings you don't have FO on hand, I would recommend that when you order them to also get some Eco-soy PB (pillar blend) to mix with the J-50. Or you could use some IGI 4794 which is a paraffin votive wax...
