    Oops...did I forget?

Yes, it is in the mold and seemed about as full as usual (I have peaked tops, so it's a little hard to say). Weighing it is a good idea...I will do that when I unmold it tomorrow.

    Oops...did I forget?

Hi all, it's been a while since I've posted, but I've still been hanging around lurking ;-). I recently changed up my main recipe a bit, so I am not in my usual measuring routine. Now that I have everything in the mold, I am wondering if I forgot the 15% rice bran oil in my 6 lb batch? Maybe I...

    Laser printer for labels...right?

I am also a fan of a good inkjet printer and waterproof labels. I have an Epson Workforce printer (can't think of the number off hand) and I use the waterproof full-sheet labels from onlinelabels. I can get 3-4 labels per sheet and they look beautiful.

    Powdered caffeine in scrubs?

Aline, that is where I got my anhydrous caffeine too. Have you used it in scrubs? I plan on dissolving it in water and adding it to my recipe. I haven't added water based products before, so I wasn't sure if this would be a problem? I do use Phenonip.

    Powdered caffeine in scrubs?

Yes, I already have anhydrous caffeine and I have seen many of these products for sale too. However, I am finding conflicting information about usage rates and methods of incorporating the solution into the recipe. I was hoping someone here might have experience with using anhydrous caffeine in...

    Powdered caffeine in scrubs?

Yes, I have seen many of these products for sale too. However, I am finding conflicting information about usage rates and methods of incorporating the solution into the recipe. I was hoping someone here might have experience with anhydrous caffeine in bath and body products. Thanks in advance!

    Powdered caffeine in scrubs?

I have found usage rates online between 1-5%...that seems like a wide range. If anyone here has used anhydrous caffeine in scrubs or lotions, any advice about usage rates? I plan on starting at the low end with 1%, but I am surprised at how little information is available. Anhydrous caffeine is...

    Powdered caffeine in scrubs?

Just bumping this up to see if anyone uses caffeine in body scrubs or lotions?

    Powdered caffeine in scrubs?

A friend has asked me to make her a sugar scrub with caffeine (supposedly has anti-inflammatory and skin-smoothing properties, but who knows?). Anyway, does this change any of my labeling requirements (other than adding caffeine in the ingredient list?). Would this be considered a drug instead...

    Back to work!

Shalisk, I'm sorry your experiences with the school system have been so negative. That's really unfortunate, because in my district (and many others) we have amazingly dedicated teachers and administrators who encourage student learning, creativity, and divergent thinking. We are fortunate to...

    Back to work!

Hi Ruthie, I feel your pain! I am a school counselor, and our first day was yesterday (though I've been back for over a week now). What a short summer! Have a great first day :)

Does anyone use a cricut machine for labeling?

Lindy , what's a Blackcat Cougar? It sounds impressive! I've been delighted with my Cameo, especially for making soap boxes.

Does anyone use a cricut machine for labeling?

I second the Silhouette for labels, cigar bands, boxes, etc. I'd be lost without it.

    Mold recommendations, please...

Maybe I'm missing something...I see options for the liner only, or the liner and wood mold. I am not interested in the silicone liner, which is the most expensive part of the set. I'm just looking for a wood mold. I realize I could make one myself, but I was hoping not to have to mess with it...
