An option to consider, is slicing a sponge into thin slices and adding it to your loaf after the pour. Then cut the soap in between each sponge slice.

Yes, but if the oils we buy to make soap, are sold by volume, then it is not as simple. As ordering a 32 fl oz bottle of oil will not be enough oil for your batch if it needs 32oz oil by weight.
Thanks everyone. I think it must be industry standard to package by volume. I have noticed this with 2 different scales so thats not the case. I decided to call the company i ordered from and they said it was by volume. Although their label does say
