Packaging donation soap for homeless shelter?

That makes perfect sense Dixie and Earlene! I tend to over think everything in an effort to not offend anyone. (I have bad anxiety) I'm grateful to have never been in that position but I do have cousins that have been in a similar situation as your son. I'm sure they didn't care about the label...

Packaging donation soap for homeless shelter?

Thank you for your suggestions. I ended up cutting the bars in half, wrapping and putting a small sticker label with just ingredients and scent name on each one. I had several different recipes in there so I figured I needed to specify what each one is.

Packaging donation soap for homeless shelter?

I have lots of bars of soap that are either too lightly scented or a little ugly in some way. I contacted a local homeless shelter and they said they would like the donation but were sparse on any details. How would you package soap for donation? I was considering cutting larger bars in half so...

    Sourdough... Do You Make It?

My husband is the bread maker in our family. He had a really nice sourdough starter going about a year ago. It was from the "wild yeast" in the air I believe. He made a couple amazing loaves of bread we all loved. Then the jar of starter sat on a high shelf in the kitchen until we forgot about...

Looking for a realistic sandalwood fragrance!

I've never smelled actual sandalwood essential oil but I have used RE's Hawaiian Sandalwood and it has a very powdery scent to me. Try Oregon Trails Mysore Sandalwood. I've heard great things about it and I have a bottle I'm trying next batch. It smells very nice, not powdery, but I can't say...

    Sewing machine addiction

I agree that there's something remarkable about a well made item that is meant to last. That's one of the things I love about these machines. Many of them just need cleaning and oiling and a few small fixes and are as good as new. Singer featherweights are adorable. Has your dad got it up and...

    Sewing machine addiction

I have this problem EXACTLY! I have probably 15 vintage sewing machines and 3 vintage sergers. I love them all so much. Most need repair. I'm trying to learn to repair them myself. I have one shiny metallic turquoise Morse machine that is my baby. I will love her forever. I stay away from the...

    Feeling hateful today...

I'm so sorry you're going through this. We have a similar situation with my DHs ex. We are raising my stepdaughter and her mother magically appears maybe once a year with a smattering of phone calls here and there. It has been very hard on my stepdaughter who is 12 now and really starting to...

FRAUD!!! The olive oil you are using might be fake, please read!

Chiming in and agreeing with everyone else. I use a lot of olive oil and Costco Kirkland has been great. I get it from Amazon http://www.amazon.com/dp/B00E4PZ3KE/?tag=skimlinks_replacement-20 or Jet...

Some help identifying these bumps in lotion?

Thank you all for the helpful advice! I absolutely will not be using it. I actually stopped using it when I saw the bumps. I think I will hang on to it and take progress photos though. The seller is mostly a beekeeper I believe as she sells mainly honey products and a few different lotions and...

Some help identifying these bumps in lotion?

I don't make creams or any liquid bath & body products but I purchased this facial cream from a local seller on Etsy. The ingredients are: Ingredients: Almond oil, Coconut oil, Aloe Vera Gel, Cocoa Butter, Distilled Water, Shea butter, Beeswax, Lanolin, Lavender Essential oil, Honey...
