Thanks Thanks but brain is fried and I can't decide. I make all natural soaps. That's my niche.

    Using what I have.....

Oh I was NOT planning on putting anything whole in soap. Like as for raspberries I thought the seeds could be used as a natural exfoliant -- I've heard of fig in soap and thought that might be useful. I think I will try to grow some things as well. I just figured why buy the seeds...

    Making your own colorants?

Natural Thanks, Natural to me (as far as coloring) are things that come from the earth, have no extras like red dye #5 etc. I'm not against these as they make BEAUTIFUL colors but my skin hates them :( So, if I don't want lots of hives I have to be VERY careful what I use.

    Using what I have.....

As a frugal, extreme couponing (ok not like on TLC) chick I tend to like to use things I have on hand for projects. I've YET to make my first batch of soap because I am OCD on having EVERY material I want and learning ALL I can before DIVING into something and making a mess. Eventually, I'd love...

    Making your own colorants?

Ohhh TYSM! I searched but I probably missed it. Thanks again =) I have HORRIBLY sensitive skin so I know others do as well. So, I figured natural colorants might work better for me (and others). My question is about the micas and stuff. Are they "natural"?

    Making your own colorants?

Anyone ever tried making their own natural colorants using things like blueberry juice, etc.? Just curious as I wanted to go as natural as possible.:!::!:

    Lye Safety...

thanks so much! I think I am going to use next door. Has great table space, an open window, and deep deep sink that isn't aluminum based. I live in a trailer ...... so space is limited.. no garage, laundry room, etc. I'm excited :D:p

    Lye Safety...

Love to do it that way but I have no exhaust fan or window in the kitchen. I do, however, have a mask.

    Lye Safety...

So, I've gotten all my materials including safety glasses (to go over my glasses), arm length gloves, a mask, etc. and my lye. I have the correct types of containers for it, etc. Here is my question: Where do you mix your lye water? I had planned to do mine outside on the porch but we've been...

Does anyone here do HP soap?

Cure time for HP I know it "says" you can do instant with HP but I had planned to cure them for a couple weeks before letting them go on the "market", persay and work on my CP during that time. I got addicted to castille and bastille soaps and love them more than anything. They have helped...

Does anyone here do HP soap?

Selling Soaps I've got a special broken heart mold, ph test strips, etc. Not going to be selling a product that is bad or would hurt anyone. Using strictly olive oil, sodium hydroxide, distilled water, and rose essential oil and will try on myself before even trying. However, for this I...
