    Cp+melt and pour in one batch?

    Yeah mine is purchased. Its is pretty brittle around the edges of the soap, mostly on the botyom, it stays together with the melt and pour but the bottom is crumbling. I used the same co recipe I always use and never have a problem with it crumbling untill I add the layer of melt and pour

    I've put a layer of melt and pour inside my cp soap twice and both times it made the cp part dry and crumbly. I know melt and pour can pull moisture out of the air so I'm wondering can it pull moisture out if the cp soap too? Do I need to use less lye in my recipe if I plan to do a melt and pour...

    I've spent the last couple of weeks getting used to making soap with no fragrance to get the skills of mixing and piping, now I want to use fragrance oils so do I have to substitute some of my oils for the fragrance or just add it to my existing recipe with no modifications?

    I do use gloves but I removed them to do the piping, I wont be making that mistake again. Thanks for the advice, the area is slightly inflamed but burning is more tolerable now. I know to be way more careful in the future.

    Im new to soap making and was trying some piping today only the soap was hardening too quickly and the piping bag split, I got half set soap all over my hands and it started burning and itching, the surface burning stopped after I washed it off but im left with burning in the edge of my thumb...
