    You're addicted to CP when...

Yes! My husband is always complaining about all of my tabs open and they're all soap related lol

    People scare me!!

I have to add my two cents here lol. I do a monthly market that regularly has three to four soapers ( I won't be doing this one again lol) and there were two guys selling at my last months market who made all sorts of comments and claims about other handmade soaps. First, they claim that their...

    You're addicted to CP when...

Your husband has joined the addiction too when he's sending you texts (he designs missiles lol) asking you questions about what you can and can't do with soap design because he wants to make a bunch of complicated imbed molds and learn to make soap with you.

    NewB and Lotion temps

Perfectly said DeeAnna. I too have started adding a bit more water to my water phase. Maybe half an ounce. That's usually all I need. I too use the micro to get my water up to temp then hold. I tried doing both using a Bain Marie and the oils were always ready long before the water.

    NewB and Lotion temps

So for this problem I use press n seal over every container. I also have an ounce or two of water on standby that I've sterilized. So after you've added your water phase to the container weigh the whole thing, pot and all and make a notation of that weight. Then, when you're done heating and...

    NewB and Lotion temps

Yup what seven said. I rarely even check the temps anymore after the initial check of 170 (that's my heat and hold number) and then hold. The oils will stay hotter longer. I find that they do get hotter than the water but that's never affected my lotion.

    Is this weird?

Ok so apparently their ingredients are only eo/fo goats milk and lard.

    Is this weird?

LMAO!! I'm going to go back and check if they list ingredients. I was so irritated by that statement that I left their website to come here and post the question. What frustrates me is that these kinds of people make handcrafted and wonderful for your skin soap seem subpar or bad for your skin...

    Is this weird?

So I'm checking out who is going to be at my next big show and this soap company claims that their goat milk soaps aren't oil based which makes them better for the environment and better for you yada yada... What does this mean? Is this more soap propaganda??

Soapers choice has organic canola pretty cheaply.

    Red Colorant for CP

Pretty! Thanks for the picture. That helps a lot to determine a color scheme using tomato red. To the OP, I use 1/2 tsp red oxide, 1/2 tsp burgundy oxide, and 1/2 tsp electric bubblegum from BB to make a really pretty deep red.

    First 3 day show help!!

Thank you Cindy! Your gift basket idea is very appealing, however, I wonder what would happen if I got too many orders to fill in that time frame? It will just be me and my DH doing this fair. My friend who sometimes helps will be out of town and we will be driving 1 hour each way every day...
