My first shaving soap is a success!

Here is my batch! I used the original recipe but added 5% mango butter and lowered the coconut oil. This is my fiancé's favorite recipe so far.

My first shaving soap is a success!

Has anyone added activated charcoal to their soap? I was just browsing on West Coast shaving and saw that there was an activated charcoal soap but, it's sold out. I am wondering if the charcoal dulls the blade at all.

    Brush Cleaning Soaps

Shunt2011 I hope you don't mind me asking what percentage is your usual superfat? As a side note I would think that a low to mid cleansing number would be ideal as to not be over cleansing.

    Brush Cleaning Soaps

I have now seen a few companies that are offering makeup brush cleansers. Which has me intrigued seeing as how they are CP. What is everyone's thoughts on makeup brush cleaners that are CP? What sort of recipe would be ideal?

Hmm sounds like I might be pouring too hot. I am used to using paraffin wax and have to pour around 165-170 degrees fahrenheit. Thank you for the info HappyGoNaturally!

I am new to making soy wax candles and I love the outcome! They are creamy and have great hot and cold throw but, I am experiencing some frosting. What causes the frosting and is it something that I can avoid? I do add in vybar and universal additive to my wax. Any input will be great.
