Yeah he is super-smart in the marketing department and quickly launched a very successful bath product line. I don’t know if folks here knew how talented he is. It’s a loss to us. Hope SMF brings him bk.

I tried that but gelling makes my soap soft for whatever reason. Freezing a long time also causes ash..even with dbl alcohol spray.

Unmolded my soap. I dropped the carrot juice from 25% to 20 to get it out of cheese range. 5 % change was enough to take it from orange to ylw. Will try 23 next time to see if I can get a lil orange bk.

Freezing overnight was a bad idea. Condensation made the soap rough when it dried.

I used MO the fitst time on my cavity molds to prevent sticking cuz MO doesn’t react to lye I was told. Do u think the MO residue will prevent ash as well?

I agree. I think ur mistake may be expensive, but will produce a much better soap than ur intended recipie.

You are correct that 415 SW is partially hydrogenated and you are correct about the similar SAP. However 415 and 27 do not have similar saturation, fatty acid profiles or soap properties. If someone normally soaps with palm and the recipe has a hardness of 50 and they want to substitute 415...

I noticed that too. I only asked the company for the saturation and hydrogenation percentages.
