    I have a confession .....

Confession of the never ending loop of regret and remorse- 1. I have had $2,000+ of soaping supplies in virtual shopping carts all over the world for about a month, BUT my budget is 1/10 of that. 2. I cannot push a purchase button...ever. 3. So I go back to my design notebook and spreadsheets...

Bath Salts/Bombs-> Has anyone tried these Polysorbate 80 substitutes?

That's helpful to know Cromollient SCE and AquaEm didn't work for your taste as I feel that most of my friends and family would have similar feelings if too much oil stayed behind on the skin. I'm the opposite- I'm a greasy butter lover. :) I forgot about c/c glucoside as a possibility. Too...

Bath Salts/Bombs-> Has anyone tried these Polysorbate 80 substitutes?

Hello, I am not scared of ingredients like polysorbate 80 or Cromollient SCE, but I do like to add new or less common ingredients to my products. Experimenting is fun! Has anyone used these products to disperse oils, EOs, and colorants like micas in bath water (for salts, bombs, and bath...

Help- Large Chunks in HP Bastille-ish Soap. Cook Stages Did Not Look Like Pics.

@psfred Yes, they're still somewhat soft today. Very odd. But, they do seem to be hardening up slowly. I'm going to test out one of the smaller ones today and see what happens. I was worried about uneven saponification. That is most likely what happened. I will increase water next time, and I...

Help- Large Chunks in HP Bastille-ish Soap. Cook Stages Did Not Look Like Pics.

Thank you for the suggestions! And, yep, I think it's overcooked chunks. I got some lighter paraffin wax looking chunks and some dark green spots. Odd! Very interesting looking soap, but I kind of like it! Has a army camo look. I'm also surprised by how soft the soap is but it's mostly soft...

Thank you! I wasn't thinking about rebatching it in a new pot. Just going to get a new one for the next batch I make. Thanks again!

Help- Large Chunks in HP Bastille-ish Soap. Cook Stages Did Not Look Like Pics.

I scraped a little bit, but the larger chunks looked like pure chunks of ucuubu butter, but it could have been an over-cooked chunk. I am going to return the slow cooker because the lid wasn't fitting right. Even with the plastic wrap maybe too much water got out! Darn. Is it still okay to use...

Help- Large Chunks in HP Bastille-ish Soap. Cook Stages Did Not Look Like Pics.

Hello, Been searching the threads and Google for some answers, but didn't quite find was I was looking for. I am not new to CP soap making, but I decided to give HP soap a try. I did a spin on bastille soap but added an exotic butter: Ucuuba. I've never had any issues with CP soap. My recipe...
