    Which logo?

#2. It’s the most visually pleasing. (And I’m married to a graphic designer!)

Do people use lotion bars on the face?

I make a serum bar specifically formulated for the face. It’s very heat sensitive because it’s made to not drag the facial skin… so I make it pretty rarely even if it’s a popular product. It has 0.5% fragrance oil. I use it often and I’d call my skin combination, sensitive, and aging. :)

    Soap Maker Personalities

I happened to become a soapmaker a couple years before being diagnosed as Autistic (my dx was actually Aspergers, but I think that is being removed)! My reason for starting soap was because I hated the way my skin felt with commercial items.... and I was SUPER scent picky and I loved the idea...

Have you heard of Shop My Porch?

I’ve never heard of it! It’s a nice idea, but I just eyeballed the vendors and it looks like a ton of MLMs.

    Preferred Shipping Method?

For single bars, I use a padded envelope and ship first class (I let the customer choose between first class and priority.)

    Dealing with price increases

If that were all I made, yes. But fortunately I have enough of a variety that they can just take a few steps down in priority!

    Dealing with price increases

Thanks, all!! Unfortunately, I’m locked into my jars and recipes, so there isn’t much wiggle room there. I’ll think about it more. Maybe I will compromise by raising the price minimally- like $1 and then just making them less frequently.

    Dealing with price increases

Hi!! So for me, I’ve noticed that the prices of oils and of glass jars has gone up somewhat drastically I’m assuming due to covid related reasons. It could actually make the price of my jar items (scrubs and butters) go up by $2-$3 EACH if I decide not to let the increases come out of my own...

    BB Fragrances - Always Changing

I realize that it now sound like I am crapping on BB, and I truly don’t mean to because they have really, really lovely products all around. But it does seem that they have adopted the hobbyist/artisan shifting market. I cleaned my office this morning (I do it every 2 years) and had to toss...

    BB Fragrances - Always Changing

Totally. I also had visions of a solid line of excellent scents that customers could fall in love with and count on. You can’t get that from. Brambleberry anymore.

    BB Fragrances - Always Changing

From what I have seen with BB- they seem to be favoring seasonal, limited edition scents now. If you start buying their fragrances- buy just what you need for your batch of soap and whatever else and release it. Scents only seem to last 1-3 years now. I've been burned by their scent...

    CandleScience's Cotton Candy Fragrance Oil

CandleScience has discontinued their glorious Cotton Candy Fragrance Oil and have said they currently do not intend to reissue it. =( Can anyone recommend something as close as possible? That scent was my best seller fragrance. =(

    What's up with SKS Bottles?

My service from them was great at first..... then became so bad that I had to switch.... then they were okay for a while.... I don’t know what their deal is. I love their pricing and that free shipping, though.
