    Resizing Recipe

I am embarrassed to admit this but I must be having a senior day - or week. I can't seem to resize my recipe to fit a small loaf mold. I had been making this goatmilk and honey - lye soap in larger handmade double pours. Now I want to tweak the recipe down to fit this mold and my brain just...

    Best Purple color

I have been making the same soap for years. It has a high percent of goatmilk. My method is RTCP and I place it in the frig to try to avoid jell. I've used TK's old Grape POP Mica and have finally run out. :( I've tried lab color liquid but not as pleased. Does anyone have any...

    Help with lye premix

Had a little problem with the process. I weighed and measured the lye/water. I stirred well (or so I thought). The next day - I had not only the small amount of surface crust but some clear sludge in the bottom. I kept gently prying and stirring until I was able to get it all liquid enough...

    Help with lye premix

    Beeswax

I go to the thrift stores and purchase nylon curtain panels cheap.. I use these to filter my beeswax. I like them better than t-shirts which is what alot of beekeepers use. IF you wanted to, you could lighten your darker wax by pouring it into some type of shallow pan so you will have a thin...
