Hi! Just wondering if anyone has any tips/tricks for keeping black coloured soaps looking neat? I wear gloves and have tried to plane off smudges/streaks, but it seems like if I even look at them the wrong way I get smudges all over :p Is it just me?!

Hi! I am in Atlantic Canada as well. I am not aware of any suppliers out here so I order most of my supplies from Candora Soaps in Ontario. Still expensive shipping but maybe not quite as bad as BC. They have palm oil but it's not labeled as no stir.
Thanks for your comments lenarenee!! That is interesting that you soap cool and have no issues with butters, maybe it really is the stick blending of the oils that helps. I will definitely try that next time :)

Hi Putzii, thanks for the reply! By this do you mean blending all the oils together with the stick blender? I do stir them all up with a spatula while waiting to cool, but I can definitely try stick blending straight oil before the lye to see if that helps.
