One problem solved led to another problem

In trying to get my Halloween bath bombs ready I encountered a problem. It was the first time using plastic molds, and unmolding was an absolute disaster. Then I came here and got the idea of dusting the molds with cornstarch or tapioca starch. I tried it, and it molded and unmolded like a...

getting bath bombs to release from molds?

Hey! I know this is from years ago but I have a question- what did you do to get the cornstarch off your bath bomb once it was unmolded? I love the idea of cornstarch helping them come out of the mold but then my bath bomb is covered in powder...

    Foam explosion

That makes sense. So would it be better to take away some things or increase the amount of baking soda and/or citric acid? I really like what all those things do to the water but maybe I could do them in smaller amounts?

    Foam explosion

This is the recipe I use for one bath bomb. At this point I make them one at a time to experiment with different colors and fragrances, but the recipe works in multiples for batches too. 120g baking soda 60g citric acid 20g kaolin clay 6 g SLSA 2 tsp cream of tartar 1g polysorbate 80 3g oil...

Apparently it is not uncommon for fragrance oils to ruin finish on wood when it’s concentrated. I googled it and even knocking over a Glade brand oil thing on wood can ruin it. I don’t know exactly what’s in it that makes it so dangerous to wood but I now keep all my fragrance oils in Tupperware...

Stain and damage minimizing set up ideas?

Hello everyone, I’m not sure if this is the right place but I couldn’t think where else to put this- I am a bath bomb maker with hopes to expand into soap someday. I am in between college and grad school and living with my parents to save money and save up. So far my parents have been very...

Please help! Seeking red bath water!

Oh my gosh I swear I’m not crazy! I didn’t really think about the title until you said something and it does sound ridiculous or like a joke, but here’s the explanation- I’m trying to make character themed bath bombs and one of them requires red. I definitely could try to contact them! Thanks...

Please help! Seeking red bath water!

Hello all! This is my first post here but I love this forum and I am hoping to find some specific advice. For weeks I have been trying to find a pigment, lake, or dye that will give my bath bombs and the bath water a true scarlet color. I have tried a few different micas with very...
