i did a search, and couldnt find the info i was looking for.
HOW do i make a cigar band label for my soap on my computer? is there a special paper to buy? a template??? i am new at all of this; ANY help is welcome!! thanks in advance!!!
i made a batch of fisherman soap (anise EO) and a batch of beer soap (wild blue lager). hopefully i will get a batch of guiness (sp?) soap done, and another batch with one of my new (untried!) FOs.... hopefully. :)
have you looked at brambleberry.com?
or your local craft meglomart (micheals, joanns, etc)? i dont do alot of m&p, so i dont know TONS of suppiers like some of the other people might. but i hope that helps!!!
how do you tell if your beer is flat? (im a noob, and i admit it)
i let it sit in the fridge a couple days, still foamy. so i cooked it. still foamy. (and significantly less of it) is it flat? how do i tell??
i used the sandy maine recipe:
24 oz OO
24 oz coconut oil
38 oz crisco
12 oz lye
32 oz water
i ran it thru the soap calc, and it was ok.
i will probably just use it. i have 2 other batches curing, and they can sit for a couple of extra weeks.
hey all!
i just checked on my first batch of soap. on monday it will be 4 weeks old, but its still kinda soft. (ie i can put a mark in with my finger nail) it has been sitting in my inlaws basement the whole time.which is mostly cool, but we have had a heat wave lately..... should it be...
its a "mold" (read: wooden wine box) i found at the flea market for fifty cents. it holds a 6 lb batch perfectly! let me know how your caulk works out.
is it a counter top? or a drawer?
i tried (ok, made my DH do it) lining my mold with the silicone caulk, and it just got sticky and never really cured right. is there any way to fix it?
