Buying natural colourants in the UK

Hi :) I want to experiment with colourants like alkanet root powder or clays, and have been searching the internet for the last 3 hours looking for a reputable website that does all of them. Does anyone on here have any recommendations for where to buy them, preferably in the UK to avoid...

Using just cocoa and shea butter as the hard fats?

Thanks dixiedragon! My aunt has told me that she can use shea butter. I'm not about to give her soap with oils that I haven't checked she's okay to use.

Using just cocoa and shea butter as the hard fats?

After 36hrs I've cut the bar, and first impressions are it's softish (like it will give if you press hard enough), but it will probably harden during curing? It seems to give an okay lather, not big fluffy bubbles or anything but more like a foaming one. My hands feel kind of chalky, not sure...

Thank you! Will report back once it's in the mold/out of it depending on whether I remember :D

Using just cocoa and shea butter as the hard fats?

Thanks for all your suggestions, definitely will have to experiment :) I'll have to substitute the avocado oil in your recipe, IrishLass, because she's allergic to avocados too! When adding sugar, do you mix it in with the water before adding lye? I've used honey before and mixed it...

Using just cocoa and shea butter as the hard fats?

Long time since I’ve posted on here, but I have a bit of an issue - my aunt asked if I could make some soap for her and agreed before realising she’s vegetarian (so no lard) and allergic to coconuts (so no coconut oil). I don’t really like using palm oil, and I have both cocoa and shea butter...

What soapy thing have you done today?

Yours looks gorgeous! Especially the silver - I wouldn't want to cut it :D What should it be like on the inside? Been considering a wire cutter a bit for a while - might be a nice Christmas present

What soapy thing have you done today?

Today I cut this soap :) Some drag marks, but easily fixed and I couldn't cut from the side as it wasn't flat :/ Dried lavender flowers on top and the purple bit has Lavender seeds in for aesthetics 8) It's all scented with Lavendin EO apart from the yellow/cream which is very light Citronella...

First soap picture and buying fragrances

Hi everyone! It's been a long time since I last posted as I was on holiday  I made my first soap before I left and here it is! Boring, I know, but I didn't want to add anything extra in case it went wrong :???: For my next soap, I want to add fragrances so I was wondering what kind of...
