I was planning to use 1 ounce PPO of pumpkin puree. Thanks for the tips snappyllama. I think I'll try with pumpkin oil and without it, but including the puree and see what I like better. And I did read one post on DOS and they used 17%. Not sure about the others though.

Thank you guys for the advice! I'm totally fine changing the recipe. I was just playing around with the calculator with the oils/butters that I have trying to get a good combo. I did read see the DOS with it so that's a little scary, but I'll see how it turns out. I almost want to test this...

Thank you for all the advice! There are several recipes I want to try, and I wanted to make sure I tested them properly. I made soap last year for Christmas so my sisters eagerly volunteered to be my testers as well! :smile:

Okay, so none of you really test them a year out? I'm not sure why I read others have done that then.

How do you test soap? Do you just test the formula for the actual soap calculator (oils, water, lye) or do you test each time you use new fragrances oils, essential oils, additives, colors etc? How often do you test? After cure, 3 months, 6 months, 9 months, and at a year? At what are do you...

And those are okay for candles? I wasn't sure I could use those... Only because Brambleberry has a specific fragrance section for candles.
