    Thanks Melstan, they smell great and are hardening well but as you said colour doesn't quite go with the aroma. Will be making more tomorrow and shall use another base oil and some colour. Also it seemed a bit thick when pouring, not like the tutorials I've watched. Any suggestions why that...

    Here is my first soap. I used lavender e/o and it must be green because of the olive oil. Not sure if I like the lavender buds on top though.

    Thanks guys, loved it. Took a longer than I thought to trace but my new baby is all wrapped up in a blanket. Will take photos when I get it out. Am definately hooked and going to make more today. Your support means alot :wave:

    Sinking lip balm

    Thank you both. Wouldn't recommend the water thing either as the water seeps through the twisty thing at the bottom. Did try the pour a little cool and pour the rest but then got a bit of divide when I twisted them up, attached but you could see the difference. Will give that a go again...

    Hi all, I made a lip balm the other day and someone said stand the container in a little cold water to cool the bottom faster. Did this but they sank in the middle when cooled. Anyone know why. Sue
