    I was just wondering. I went to a number of sites that included Palm-free in their ingredient list and since a number of soap makers were against using that particular oil. Hence, my comment "is it bad"? Does Palm oil really make a difference and if so, what is that? Would it be better to avoid...

    I used crystal clear melt and pour soap from Stephenson. This has never happened before. I have done a lot of soap. I always use the double boiler method. Should I have done it in the microwave? Also, I was using a lot more soap than usual. (I was experimenting).

    I used an infrared thermometer and poured at 133 degrees F. Halfway through, the soap turned into a gelatinous mess. Was it too cold or was I too slow? Any ideas?
