Thanks everybody. I just stabbed a hole in the middle of it. The suction released and the lid came off! I can't remember what I did to get the soap out, but it seems to me it came out fairly easily.

I will never buy my soap bases at Amazon. Instead of a brick, they sent me lump of Shea butter, when I asked for a brick for M&P. It was hard to work. Now I have the softest hands in Canada. Took longer to melt, taking a long time to develop a skin. Am waiting to add my second layer. Used mica...
