What soapy thing have you done today?

Hello, I'm looking at trying to use duck fat this weekend in soap. I see in your ingredients above (and also in mine from SoapCalc), it states duck fat, flesh and skin. Surely we aren't putting in the flesh and skin??? Is there anything I need to be aware of when using duck fat? Thanks...

    Colouring Soap

Thanks. I hadn't thought about 'painting' it. What sort of alcohol would I use? Isopropyl Acohol? I'm assuming not vodka or gin. Hahaha.

    Colouring Soap

Hi everyone. I have bought some mica, however, whenever I use it to colour, because of the oils, the colour is nothing like the mica colour. I am wanting to make some 'gold bars' for my husband to give to his staff at work. I have bought 'gold bar' moulds to use, but am really worried that...

    Curdled Soap

Hello, I’m new to soap making. Made my 3rd lot yesterday and it curdled, upon addition of scent. I have since seen that I should have stick blended more, which could have corrected the problem, but didn’t know that at the time. Hence, I poured it into the moulds. Needless to say, it looks...
