Got my batch done. Used beer for the liquid. Stirred for 5 minutes or so.. got thick fast.

I have some frozen beer left from when I made beer soap and was thinking of using that as my liquid. I just watched a youtube videoo where she used aloe vera juice. Any thoughts as to using beer as the liquid in my lye solution?
I have a few small containers of sugar "glitter" and was wondering if it would be safe to use as a decorator on the tops of my soap or maybe mixed in at trace?
