    15% Superfatting?

    I've made several batches with SF between 12-15%. Soap is fine... soft at the beginning but ok after 3 months. I even used it... it leaves oil traces in the sink/bathtub :). I'm going to store it .. see what's going on with it....

    Thanks for your answers! they're very helpful. I haven't yet got my soapnuts... going nuts until they come :), of curiosity and excitement. Hopefully this week. I don't know how bad they smell.... worse then neem oil? I made some soap with goat milk, wine and beer. the reaction with lye gave off...

    Hi, Thank you for your answers... So... though the trace is reached there is no guarantee that the oil added at trace stays unsaponified...the lye is still active in the batch... got any idea where I can find a list over the oils that are most and least saponifieble? Thanks Alex

    Soapnuts?

    I've just ordered som soapnuts. Going to give it a go when I receive them. I suppose that it can be used in the same way as hops in CP... boil them down and use the water for the lye solution.
