    Olive Oil Pomace vs EVOO

I too use EVOO in all my oils because I am an olive oil producer in Italy and find that olive oil bars tend to get a lot harder (and bubblier) with long cure. The yellowish colour tends to fade over time. Meaning months and years. I have some bars of EVOO soap made up to 5 years ago or more...

Adding silk at .11 per cent of the weight of the batch of soap

Linne, another question while we are on it. I was told that you can't ever heat up your lye solution to bring it back to mixing temperature with the oils. I suppose that is the case of masterbatching: if I don't use up all the masterbatch in one go and my solution cools down, I cannot keep it...

    A Cream Soap Tutorial

@Zany_in_CO and @Marley thank you both. Great advice. The Failor book... I'll look for another source rather than amazon since it is quoted 730 USD.

    A Cream Soap Tutorial

Hello cream soapers. I stumbled on this thread and though it's a quite an old one and probably its originator not active here, I would like to ask if any of you would like to share a photo of your cream cured soap in its pump bottle, and possibly a photo of its lather in the hands. Or has...

Beer and dragons, what a night!

Beautiful Beautiful colours. The soap seems almost translucent. What colours did you use and do they wash out staining the soap dish?
