    Shampoo Bars

hair type and like I said water type and maybe other variables. I have city water and it's hard as a rock - I have to rinse my shower every time I use handmade soap cuz if not I get a horrible film on my tub. I shrudder to think what I would have to do if I used my well water! LOL

    Shampoo Bars

I have been making syndet bars for a year or so and while I know this is regarding "soap" shampoo bars I think you might be hard pressed to find a recipe that does not require a rinse due to the fact almost all CP/HP soap has a pretty high PH. And while this is cool on the body and hands on the...

How to Get Rid of Frostings in Soy Wax

Soy Frosting I have been pouring soy containers for almost 10 years and I have tried every trick in the book for frosting issues. Adhesion is a non issue with me as I can't control the temps of the candles once they leave my shop. The key is to pour when the wax first starts to resolidify. It...

Why are my candles not smelling??

I am not a big fan of cold throw, cuz many times it's really not an indicator of a true good hot throw. BUT...that being said if there were NO cold throw none of our customers would buy a candle they can't smell even if it's not burning.

Why are my candles not smelling??

That is a HUGE problem with very little data. What type of wax, what wick, what jar? What FO, any cure time? When you make candles you must take all those varibles into account. Having a nice smelling candles is only part of the equation, you must also have a safe and well burning candle, which...

Candle making - Soy Wax vs. Paraffin ?

Since you have just started making soy candles, it might help before you pass judgement on them if you purchased a properly made soy candle, (as you have the PL candles) and see what a good soy candle smells, looks and burns like. If your soy candles are not lasting longer than paraffin, I am...

    Shipping Bath Bombs

The place I buy mine puts them in egg cartons? I have seen small ones. I am thinking you need to make sure that it's not able to be slung around inside of a box or container, that is what is making them break I bet.
