scented geranium leaves in cp soap?

Hi - I read somewhere that using scented geranium leaves (dried or fresh) will not hold their scent when used in cp soap. Is this true?

They will not retain their scent, and will turn brown, sad to say.

Hardly any botanicals will retain colour or scent. Sadly the all turn brown. Same goes for tea Exceptions: Calendula petals, tomatoe and carrot juice. There are a few more.
