Not sure where I should post this, but I want to use the oil for soap, so I hope this is the right place. Not long ago I was given some oils, and this was one of them. They came from a business that was moving. They did quite a bit of product making using activated charcoal. The outside of the bottles had residue, so I transferred to glass jars. I've never used unrefined avocado oil so I have no idea if this separation is normal. The top is clear and dark green like would be expected. There is a layer of lighter colored, thick stuff at the bottom. Does anyone know? It's from jedwards. I have used it in one soap and so far nothing off

It just looks like the more saturated of the fatty-acids within the oil separating out/solidifying, which is normal.
