box for a mold?

Will this work if the folds at the base don't completely seal it off? Will this work assuming I line it like the tutorial? Thx!
Second pic shows the space I'm concerned about.

Yes, just line it with freezer paper or a plastic bag. Should be fine.

I have used a box very similar for many micro batches lined with freezer paper.

This one holds over 4 lbs I believe as a slab. The top was so sturdy that I cut it and turned it into a removable side for about a two and a half pound loaf mold. It's got a flap so it stands up on its own as the removable side. Step up from my 20oz loaf and 40 oz slab!
