I usually make my salt bars in cavity molds, but I decided I wanted to try making a batch in a log mold. My mold usually holds 36 oz of oils and is slightly overfilled, so I figured I'd half that and add in 100% salt and it would be the same fill level... Incorrect. My mold is only 3/4 full. How should I go about calculating for a salt bar? Thanks!

I read somewhere that if you want to fill the same size mold you use about 80% of your recipe, but I use 80% salt, and people use 25%-100% salt, so I'm not sure how that works. For yours I would do a SWAG and say 75% of the recipe, but I find it a LOT easier for my tiny mind to make a full recipe and just have some smaller molds ready for the overflow.
