Whiskey soap done! 1/3 of 100 proof whiskey ( flamed down to de proof) slushy added to cold lye water. Yep got super fast trace but cool bubbles already. ImageUploadedBySoap Making1406349741.553883.jpg
It can be done I guess ;)
 
WOW ! Glad to know that whiskey can be made into soap because that was something I wanted to do with that bottle of whiskey that no one wanted to drink after a glass because it was so bad !

Make sure you burn off enough alcohol. I didn't have it in a ceramic or metal container at first & totally forgot 100 proof =50% alcohol so it was going to burn for a while. Oops. :oops:
 
Did any of the smell of whiskey make it through the lye monster? I have made beer soap before and I swear O can still smell the beer in the one I used dark lager in
 
I used a sample of butterscotch rum brittle from bramble berry in this batch so I can't really tell. BF says he thinks so though.
