So, a while back I rendered some tallow. I pulled it out and it is a dirty brown grey, and smells sort of burnt. I cleaned it again. The water is clean - I tasted it and it has no beefy taste. The tallow is still grey brown. Did I burn the tallow? I'll probably pitch it, I don't want it in soap.
