I've heard that whiskey in place of water is VERY messy, but I'm wondering if anybody has tried treating whiskey as an EO/FO before? If so, how did it turn out? I'll be experimenting with it this week.

Not sure if the scent would survive saponification, except maybe the cinnamon. Would be interesting, for sure. You still have to boil the alcohol out before adding it though.

Are you just going to add about an ounce for scent at trace?

It may make it heat up a bit, but should be interesting. I know not to use it as liquid as it will volcano, so I'd still be very cautious just in case if you don't boil the alcohol out.

Hopefully someone else has tried this before. Keep us posted!

Ok, I guess I'll get some fireball today, and let you all know how it goes! I'm think about adding an ounce just before trace. I'll you posted.

Your soap will most likely seize, and the scent won't really survive. If you decide to go ahead please let us know how it turns out.
