Hi!

I wondered if anyone has used apple cider vinegar in their soaps. I wanted to include it in my mechanics soap but was wondering if would be good to use as half of water or less? And not sure when to add...don't want to nuetralize the lye at all....?

Thanks!

I saw an interesting tutorial video using lemon juice. Soap didn't work, but the instructor didn't tell you till the end - just gave hints. I think it was soap 101. I think lemon juice and vinegar would have a similar effect.

I made a soap with kombucha vinegar last week, subbed 1/2 my water for it because I wasn't sure of the acidity level or what it would do. Anyway it came out really nicely. Good white, hard soap.

I accidentally used Apple Cider Vinegar for my full water amount 2-3 years ago and it turned out fine. The recipe actually said apple cider.
