Hey guys! I was curious if any of you have ever attempted to cut your distilled water with Coconut Water (not coconut milk)? Any adverse effects? Any thoughts on how the coconut water should be accounted for regarding the amount of lye used?

I haven't used coconut water, so can't tell you of any adverse effects, but as for the lye just use it as the water component and run it through a soap calc to determine the amount of lye to use.

I used coconut water in place of water, only once. I don't know if it had any positive effect on the soap, but there was no negative effect. The soap was quite hard - just dropped out of the individual moulds next day, but that could have been the oils. 250g olive
150g coconut
50g corn
50g RBO
160g coconut water
67g caustic soda
I haven't made the recipe before or since with the same oils, so I really don't know what difference the coconut water would have made.
