Hello! Does anyone have any suggestions for a loaf cutter for M&P soaps? I found one of Bramble Berry but I was wondering about anymore of them. Thanks.

I bought a decent (not spectacular, though) loaf cutter on Amazon. I came with a straight cutter, a wavy cutter, and a small silicone mold for $35 I think. So far, it works well enough. It also has a bevel knife on the bottom and a place to tie some monofilament if you like to cut with a string.

I bought this one from eBay with mixed results. The little wood piece that presses against the soap broke after using it about 5 times. I tried to super glue it back but gave up after it broke again. I bought a couple of angle brackets from the hardware store and screwed them where the block fits...it's going well so far.

One thing I hate about loaf mold cutters is that they are too short height-wise. Even if I place the loaf on its side, it stands a little over the top of the cutter. I'm 'cutting challenged' and its hard to line up my knife perfectly with the grooves to get a straight cut. If it I could find a budget-friendly cutter with higher sides, my life would be complete.

Yeah i had actually looked at that one also. I'm also "cutting challenged" so one with higher sides would be nice!

I have seen some that look exactly like a single wire cutter (like the ones you get from Bud Haffner) but instead of a wire it looks like a cleaver is attached. I haven't been able to find a picture yet, but I know they exist as a couple of my friends had one.
I'll keep looking for the picture and post if I can. That's the joys of working outside the home, and in an office setting. All the blocked sites I try to go to where access is denied and not good enough friends with the IT guys yet. LOL
